Porcelain brooch "Sol invictus"
Regular price € 59.00
Handmade porcelain brooch, painted with gold or platinum luster. Each piece is carefully hand-sculpted and fired at 1240°C for more than 12 hours.
Delicate beauty of this item comes from the natural simplicity of the pure white porcelain or chic black-colored porcelain, beautifully highlighted with a touch of gold or silver detailing. No two pieces are identical – every item is a small handcrafted work of art.
One of a kind wearable art pieces
In Namfleg Porcelain collection we revived an ancient craft of porcelain making to create contemporary and delicate porcelain jewelry.
Namfleg Porcelain jewelry is not about diamonds and sapphires – it’s about such minerals as kaolin, quartz and feldspar, dug from the ground. But after a long journey of experimenting and high-temperature firing, the finest white clay miraculously becomes a piece of wearable art.
Delicate skills, accuracy and high concentration
Porcelain, born in China twenty centuries ago, is the most expensive and precious type of ceramic. And it’s also the strongest ceramic body one can find. The process of turning white clay into «white gold» is very complicated, and it requires the highest standards of craftsmanship and discipline from the ceramic artist.
The key moment is firing in the kiln. Every piece of porcelain undergoes temperatures up to 1240°C for more than 12 hours. Along with the modeling, firing, cooling, and decorating, producing the final piece is an extremely complex and laborious process.
Light, modern and elegant
Inspired by organic shapes found in nature, our little works of art were sculpted by hand and paired with fine metals. Pure white porcelain is beautifully highlighted with a touch of gold or platinum luster, capturing the essence of minimalist elegance.
Namfleg ring sizes are equivalent to the inside diameter of the ring in millimeters. Choose a ring you already own and measure the inside diameter of your ring with a ruler. Now that you know the inside diameter of your ring in millimeters, you can easily choose a right Namfleg size for you. Keep in mind that rings with a wide band sit more tightly on a finger than thin ones. Therefore, their circumference should be slightly larger than that of their skinny counterparts.
How to Clean and Care for Your Silver Jewelry
It's not uncommon for sterling silver jewelry to go through an oxidizing process. Humidity, oils from your skin, perfumes, lotions, hair products and other substances cause silver jewelry to tarnish.
If not cared for properly, even high-end sterling silver jewelry can appear a little discolored over time. This occurs when oxygen or sulfur makes contact with silver, which can tarnish its luster.
To ensure your Namfleg jewelry continues to look as good as new, we're offering tips on how to clean sterling silver.
